This successful project involved the construction of three new buildings and renovations to the Emergency Department, Obstetrics and Mental Health wards. All three buildings were constructed in a live environment with all wards resuming functionality at full capacity.
Infection control, dust, and noise were all strictly managed using negative pressure fans and fully sealed insulated panel hoardings.
The Emergency ward contained new short stay beds, isolation rooms, triage, waiting area and administration offices. The Obstetrics ward included three new birthing suites, staff offices, and a reception area. The entire fire system was upgraded, and the areas around the new buildings were fully designed and landscaped.
