The project involved the design and construction of a new single storey administration building for Ivanhoe Grammar School staff.
Working closely with the design team at McIldowie Partners from inception to completion, this contemporary facility’s design reflects the rural setting.
Glazed black bricks indicate entry points in the middle of both the north and south elevations where the bricks gradually diminish in a pattern to a matt finish towards the corners.
The large canopy feature entrance, lined with bespoke printed metal panels, contrasts heavily with the bricks. It represents a modern interpretation of the 21st Century school model in combination with exemplary sustainable design principles.
