Breaking ground at Box Hill City Oval Development

Building Engineering has officially kicked off construction at the Box Hill City Oval Development, marking the milestone with a special groundbreaking ceremony alongside Whitehorse City Council.

Box Hill City Oval has been home to the Box Hill Hawks and Box Hill Cricket Club since the 1930s. This project will deliver a brand new two-storey western pavilion featuring community spaces, gender-inclusive player amenities, umpire and administrative rooms, and flexible multipurpose areas for both game days and community use.

The southern pavilion is also set to receive significant upgrades, including modern match-day facilities, while improvements to spectator areas are being explored to enhance the overall visitor experience.

Leading the project is our Project Manager, Sebastian Arfi. With over 12 years in the construction industry, Sebastian has delivered a wide range of sports and leisure developments across Victoria, creating high-quality, community-focused facilities.

Sebastian shared, “What I enjoy most is working with our teams, clients, and communities to create facilities that are built to last and will serve the community for generations to come.”

“We’re excited to get underway and bring this vision to life here at Box Hill City Oval,” Sebastian said.
