Exciting milestones at Collins Place
We are proud to have successfully delivered key aspects of the transformative redevelopment of 55 Collins Street, working alongside Mirvac, Turner Townsend, Grimshaw, and NDY to elevate one of Australia’s most iconic mixed-use complexes.
Building Engineering was entrusted with undertaking a major upgrade of the Lobby, End-of-Trip Facilities, and Levels 1 and 2, creating vibrant and inviting spaces to attract prospective tenants and customers.
Our scope included:
– Extensive Lobby Refurbishment – Featuring high-quality finishes, enhanced connectivity between the forecourt and Collins Street, and an abundance of natural light to create a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere
– Façade Demolition & Reinstatement – Developing innovative strategies to undertake the demolition safely, with minimal disruption and in the shortest possible timeframe, and reinstating the façade with state-of-the-art glazing panels
– New Cold Shell Fit-out for The Commons
– Major Building Services Upgrade – Incorporating smart building technology to enhance operational efficiency and user experience
– Premium End of Trip Facilities Revamp – Featuring upgraded amenities, including premium squash courts and modernised facilities designed to elevate the user experience.
Our role in the extensive lobby refurbishment was to enhance connectivity between the forecourt and Collins Street, creating a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere filled with natural light.
We incorporated smart building technology throughout the building to enhance operational efficiency and user experience by implementing automated LED lighting, people counters and smart lockers. The revitalisation of the End-of-Trip facilities featured an upgrade of the amenities to create a modernised designed and premium squash courts.
