Groundbreaking ceremony marks the start of Dandenong Tech School

Building Engineering is excited to officially break ground at the Dandenong Tech School, marking the start of construction on this inspiring new facility in partnership with Chisholm Institute of TAFE.

Our team joined representatives from Dandenong Tech School, Chisholm Institute of TAFE, the Department of Education, Tectura Architects, and TSA Riley to celebrate the milestone with a special on-site groundbreaking ceremony.

This state-of-the-art Tech School will provide 13,500 students from 23 local secondary schools with hands-on, future-focused STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) learning opportunities.

The project scope encompasses the delivery of a new, state-of-the-art building featuring dynamic indoor and outdoor learning spaces. The design draws inspiration from the local community and surrounding geography, ensuring the building is not only a hub for advanced technology and targeted programs but also a reflection of the region’s identity and character.

Building Engineering is excited to deliver this state-of-the-art new facility, connecting students from the Greater Dandenong community to their future, inspiring them to explore new ideas, embrace innovation, and develop the skills to shape their own futures.

Watch the video to hear from our General Manager, David Waters, as we mark this exciting milestone on-site.
