Maroondah Hospital Breast Cancer Care Centre Opens

Eastern Health’s new Breast Cancer Care Centre was officially opened today, May 21st 2018 by Minister for Health Jill Hennessy. The Minister was joined by the Member for Eastern Metropolitan area Shaun Leane and executives from both Eastern Health and BreastScreen Victoria.

The new state-of-the-art facility brings together a range of previously separate breast cancer services and technologies in Melbourne’s east in a modern, ‘one-stop-shop’ centre, expected to service over 25,000 patients annually. (Bldg.Eng) was appointed in December 2016 to construction the new center, designed by Architects BLP.
