Welcoming Auburn University students to St Aloysius Senior Years Campus

Building Engineering was proud to host a delegation of students from the Auburn University McWhorter School of Building Science on our St Aloysius College Senior Years Campus project in North Melbourne.

The visit was facilitated through our long-standing partnership with RMIT University, who maintain an international collaboration with Auburn University to support global learning and exchange opportunities for emerging construction professionals.

Led by Associate Professor Anoop Sattineni, the students spent the morning on-site with Project Manager Jamie Adams and the Building Engineering team, gaining a firsthand look at the progress, design intent, and construction methodologies shaping the new Senior Years Campus.

Professor Sattineni shared his appreciation following the visit, noting the value of exposing students to international project delivery in a live environment.
He praised the team for their hospitality, professionalism, and openness in walking students through both the opportunities and challenges of constructing a contemporary educational facility.

“Visits like this bring classroom concepts to life and expose students to global construction practices and project delivery approaches,” Professor Sattineni said. “A huge thank you to Building Engineering for graciously hosting us. Special thanks to Jamie Adams and the entire project team, Rachel Richter for coordinating the visit, and Salman Shooshtarian from RMIT University for facilitating this opportunity.”

The campus tour forms part of our continuing commitment to supporting education, industry learning and the next generation of construction leaders. Building Engineering is proud to collaborate with RMIT University, Auburn University and project partners to create meaningful learning experiences that extend beyond the classroom.
