Glenroy Community Hub

July has seen us turn the sod in Glenroy where we are delivering the Wheatsheaf Community Hub for the City of Moreland. The Centre will provide the community integrated services in a welcoming, nature-inspired setting; supporting, inspiring and connecting local residents at all stages of life. A demonstration of the City of Moreland’s commitment to world-leading, sustainable design, the project will achieve the requirements of Passive House and 3 Petals of the Living Building Challenge.

As Head Contractor, we established a plan for the project focussed on the social aspects of sustainability and equity, minimising impact on the environment, supporting local business and promoting economic diversity and viability. This plan builds on our Social and Sustainable Procurement Policy and Framework and Equity and Diversity Policy through partnerships with local Registered Charities Youth Projects and I’m Still Learning.
