Building Engineering is proud to announce our partnership with St. Columba’s College for the construction of the Foxford Innovation Centre, a landmark project that embodies the future of education.
Situated at the corner of Buckley and Lorraine Streets, the Foxford Innovation Centre draws design inspiration from the Bruton building, seamlessly integrating with the mansion’s heritage design. The building features graceful arches and curves that complement the existing campus architecture.
The Foxford Innovation Centre is more than a structure; it’s a hub of innovation and collaboration. The construction includes specialist spaces designed for agile and dynamic breakout areas with IT connectivity and flexible furniture. These spaces facilitate cross-disciplinary learning among students and staff.
The Foxford Innovation Centre, will house a range of specialised spaces, including:
- Junior and Senior Food Technology Kitchens
- Food Technology Flexible Learning Areas
- Maker Spaces
- Textiles and Ceramics Studios
- Digital Design and Photography Studios
- General Arts Classrooms
- General Science Labs
- Chemistry, Biology, and Physics Labs
- Science Prep Room
- Canteen Kitchen and Food Store
- Competition-Grade Sports Court
This project is a significant investment in the future of education at St. Columba’s College, aligning with the best practices in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education.
