Introducing the Statewide Child and Family Centre, the first of its kind in Victoria

Building Engineering is thrilled to present the Statewide Child and Family Centre, the first of its kind in Victoria.

Delivered in partnership with the Victorian Health Building Authority, and key consultants including Kerstin Thompson Architects, and Donald Cant Watts Corke, the Austin Health centre is a 12-bed child and family facility in Macleod.

The centre will provide dedicated mental health support and treatment to children aged 11 and under, in a residential environment that allows them to stay with their families.

The new facility features private rooms and shared living spaces including a communal kitchen, dining, laundry, family activity areas, outdoor garden areas, along with clinical consulting areas.

Building Engineering is delighted to continue its partnership with the Victorian Health Building Authority, following the recent completion of the North West Metropolitan Youth Prevention and Recovery Care (YPARC) centre in 2021.

YPARC is a 20-bed facility providing short and medium-term treatment and support in a residential setting for young people experiencing mental illness in Melbourne’s west.
