Meet George Papadopetros: leading the charge in safety and introducing our “Think Ahead” campaign
At Building Engineering, safety is at the heart of everything we do, and George Papadopetros, our Integrated Systems Manager (IMS), plays a key role in driving this commitment forward. With over 11 years of service at Building Engineering and 15 years of experience managing safety and environmental standards, George plays a crucial role in upholding the highest safety protocols across all our projects.
His leadership ensures compliance with ISO45001 – Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems, ISO14001 – Environmental Management Systems, ISO9001 – Quality Management Systems, and Federal Safety Commission accreditations solidifying Building Engineering’s commitment to safety, quality, and environmental management.
As October approaches, it’s the perfect time to highlight George’s dedication to a safer, healthier work environment, especially as we gear up for National Safe Work Month. This year, we are proud to launch our Think Ahead campaign—a proactive initiative to promote forward-thinking, continuous vigilance, and shared responsibility for safety across all our sites.
“Think Ahead is about taking action today to prevent incidents tomorrow,” George explains. “It’s about collaboration and awareness on-site, ensuring everyone is focused on keeping each other safe.”
The campaign, which will run throughout October, reminds us of the importance of safety and a call to action for our teams as we approach the busy holiday season.
As part of the campaign, we’re rolling out new safety materials, including our Think Ahead branding featured on clothing and hard hats, keeping safety at the forefront wherever you are on-site.
George’s proactive approach perfectly reflects the Think Ahead philosophy. His development of safe work procedures, hazard identification strategies, and risk management protocols ensures that safety isn’t just a box to tick—it’s an ongoing priority.
“Let’s all Think Ahead this October,” George says. “Because safety starts with consultation, awareness, and a team that looks out for one another.”
