New state-of-the-art boarding facilities unveiled at Scotch College Melbourne

In a significant milestone for Scotch College Melbourne, the recently completed Senior Boarding Building stands as a testament to our commitment to delivering high-quality projects that enhance the educational experience. As the builders of this architectural marvel, we are delighted to announce the successful delivery of the state-of-the-art Senior Boarding Building, in collaboration with Scotch College and Cox Architecture.

Scotch College, founded in 1851, has a rich history of welcoming boarders into its vibrant community. The 160 boarders at the Senior School now enjoy the luxury of residing in one of three distinct boarding houses: School House, McMeckan House, and Arthur Robinson House. Nestled on the iconic ‘Hill’ overlooking the Senior School, these houses are surrounded by lush greenery and meticulously maintained gardens, creating a serene and conducive living environment for the students.

The completion of the Senior Boarding Building is a significant achievement, blending seamlessly with the historical charm of the campus and providing a comfortable and supportive living space for boarders.

Simultaneously, we are proud to unveil the ongoing progress of the Boarders Retreat, a distinct addition to the boarding precinct. This parent retreat and community center, situated at the heart of the campus, is nearing completion and will soon serve as a hub for parents, families, and boys to connect in a relaxed and convivial setting. The retreat reflects our dedication to fostering a sense of community within the school, allowing for meaningful interactions and shared experiences.

These two projects, the Senior Boarding Building and the upcoming Boarders Retreat, were executed concurrently, highlighting the efficiency and collaboration between Scotch College, Cox Architecture, and our construction team. The result is a harmonious blend of functionality, aesthetics, and innovation that aligns with the educational values of Scotch College.

As we near the completion of the Boarders Retreat, we look forward to witnessing the positive impact these exceptional facilities will have on the lives of the students, families, and staff at Scotch College Melbourne. Stay tuned for the official handover of the Boarders Retreat, marking a new chapter in the storied history of Scotch College and reinforcing its position as a respected leader in education on local, national, and world stages.
