Building Engineering is delighted to announce the successful collaboration with Scotch College Melbourne on the construction of the Scotch College Senior Boarding Building.

Nestled within the historic Scotch College campus, the Senior Boarding Building seamlessly integrates within the existing architectural heritage, reflecting our dedication to preserving the institution’s rich history while embracing modern design principles.

Inspired by the unique landscape and character of Scotch College, the design emphasises the importance of creating a nurturing and contemporary living space for the 160 boarders. The building features modern amenities, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and architectural elements that complement the serene surroundings.

The Senior Boarding Building is more than just a construction project; it embodies the essence of community and student well-being. Our focus was on providing not only comfortable living spaces but also fostering an environment that encourages collaboration, growth, and a sense of belonging.

Scotch College, founded in 1851, has a rich history of welcoming boarders into its vibrant community. The 160 boarders at the Senior School now enjoy the luxury of residing in one of three distinct boarding houses: School House, McMeckan House, and Arthur Robinson House. Nestled on the iconic ‘Hill’ overlooking the Senior School, these houses are surrounded by lush greenery and meticulously maintained gardens, creating a serene and conducive living environment for the students.

The project components include modern living spaces, comfortable and contemporary living quarters for the 160 boarders, integration with nature, landscaping that complemented the lush greenery surrounding the ‘Hill’, architectural elements that blend seamlessly with the historical charm of the campus, and common areas designed to encourage interaction and community building.

Our partnership with Scotch College aligns with our ethos of delivering projects that not only meet the highest standards of construction but also contribute to the overall well-being and growth of the educational community.
