Building Engineering was awarded this project in late 2016. Designed by Sally Draper Architects in association with McIldowie Partners, the scope of works included the demolition of existing buildings and pavements, bulk excavation to provide for a basement level car park and storage areas, construction of home rooms and breakout study areas over two levels, a new art studio, music room and age appropriate science labs, tuck shop relocation works and widening of the access driveway. Works included extensive courtyard upgrades, providing a new multi-use games area (MUGA) above the basement car park and installation of soft landscaping. Significant waterproofing to the car park was included. Programmed to occur over four stages which included significant works during school holiday periods to help minimise disruption to curriculum activities. This difficult build was completed in close collaboration with the design team and sub-consultants. PC achieved April 16th 2018.
