Breaking ground: Building Engineering commences construction at David Scott School in Frankston

Graced with a bluebird day last Thursday, our Building Engineering team, alongside esteemed members from the David Scott School community, came together to commemorate the commencement of construction at the David Scott School in Frankston.

The project scope encompasses the demolition of the former single-storey residence and the construction of a new two-storey classroom building. The building houses six standard classrooms, and a teaching, training, and social enterprise classroom. Essential facilities such as toilets and a passenger lift will be integrated seamlessly into the design. The project extends its reach to include both hard and soft landscaping works.

“The David Scott School project is truly meaningful for us. It highlights our dedication to collaboration and excellence in construction, while also emphasising our commitment to improving educational spaces for future generations.” – Chris Doufas, Director, Building Engineering

Central to the success of this project are our esteemed project partners, whose expertise and collaborative spirit will shape the project’s trajectory. VIA Architects //, renowned for their innovative approach to design, lend their vision to designing spaces that inspire creativity and foster growth. Additionally, the contributions of Project Manager Turner & Townsend in collaboration with the Building Engineering project team will ensure meticulous management and execution, setting the stage for project success.

As construction progresses, Building Engineering remains committed to its mission to deliver a facility that not only meets but surpasses the needs of the David Scott School community. With a shared vision of creating spaces that empower and uplift, the journey ahead promises to be one filled with innovation, collaboration, and above all, impact.

Stay tuned as Building Engineering continues to unfold this construction journey that will leave an enduring mark on the David Scott School community.
