Amani Eljari recognised at the 2026 NAWIC Victorian Awards for Excellence

Building Engineering is proud to congratulate Project Manager Amani Eljari on receiving a Commendation in the Multiplex Young Achiever Award category at the 2026 NAWIC Victorian Awards for Excellence, held on Friday 16 October at Crown Melbourne.

Presented by the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), the annual awards celebrate women’s outstanding achievements and contributions across Victoria’s construction industry.

This recognition acknowledges Amani’s exceptional technical expertise, collaborative leadership and commitment to developing future industry talent.

Since stepping into the Project Manager role, Amani has delivered several significant projects, including the Mary Aquin Centre at Santa Maria College, her first project in the role. Her leadership throughout the 16-month construction programme ensured the project was delivered on time and to an exceptional standard, while fostering strong relationships with the client, consultants and subcontractors.

Reflecting on the project, Santa Maria College Principal Joanne Rock described Amani as “professional, approachable, and easy to work with throughout the entire process,” adding that her “collaborative attitude and solution-focused mindset made what could have been a complex project a seamless and positive experience.”

Building on this success, Amani has since delivered the Dandenong Tech School at Chisholm Institute and the ALER3 Airside Building at Melbourne Airport. She is currently leading Stage 1 of the Junior Boys Campus at Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School.

Beyond project delivery, Amani is a passionate advocate for women in construction, actively mentoring students and inspiring the next generation of industry professionals.

This commendation is a well-deserved recognition of Amani’s achievements, leadership and growing contribution to Victoria’s construction industry.

Congratulations, Amani! We are incredibly proud of your success and look forward to seeing your continued achievements.

We also congratulate all winners, commendation recipients, and finalists recognised on the night, celebrating the incredible talent and achievements of women shaping the future of our industry.
