Exciting progress at Box Hill City Oval

Building Engineering is proud to share the latest progress at the Box Hill City Oval redevelopment, with several major milestones now achieved as the project continues to take shape for the local sporting community.

The South Pavilion is now complete, with the Box Hill Hawks Football Club beginning their move back in ahead of their first home game for the 2026 VFL season.

Out on the field, oval works are now complete and ready for the club’s first home game at Box Hill City Oval on Saturday, 16 May, marking an exciting moment for the club, its supporters, and the wider community.

Project Manager Sebastian Arfi recently provided an on-site project update, highlighting the significant momentum being achieved across the redevelopment.

Construction is progressing strongly at the West Pavilion, where the basement retention system and in-ground services have now been completed. The structure is beginning to rise above ground, with concrete works underway and the first half of the ground floor slab successfully poured. Remaining slab works are progressing, with Level 1 construction set to commence next.

A special thank you to Evergreen Turf for their work on the oval and cricket net areas. We’ve been proud to partner with the team on this exciting project and look forward to seeing the facilities come to life for the clubs and wider community.

Once complete, the redevelopment will deliver a modern, inclusive, and multi-purpose sporting facility designed to support elite sport, grassroots participation, and the broader community.

The upgraded oval, cricket nets, and South Pavilion will be ready for the 2026–27 Premier Women’s cricket season, alongside supporting the wider Box Hill Cricket Club teams.

Building Engineering is proud to be partnering with Whitehorse City Council to deliver this significant community redevelopment, helping to bring to life a modern and inclusive sporting precinct for the Box Hill community.

We look forward to continuing this momentum as work progresses towards completion.
