Procore Construction Management Software

In Q4 2016, Building Engineering adopted the use of Procore, a cloud based management application for the construction industry. Procore Technologies Inc describes their software as "connecting people, applications, and devices through a unified platform to help construction firms manage risk and build quality projects, safely, on time, and within budget".

As an early Australian user, (Bldg.Eng) are implementing Procore across all new projects, with significant, positive results already.

Moe Rail Precinct Revitalisation

(Bldg.Eng) congratulates FJMT Architects for their recent win in The Shaw Contract Design Awards in the best Public Space category for The Frank Bartlett Library & Services Centre.

Pakenham Community Health Hub Opens

Building Engineering recently completed works on the Pakenham Health Hub for clients Monash Health and long time collaborators Clarke Hopkins Clarke Architects.

This project involved the complete stripping out of and entire new fit-out of an existing Cardinia Shire Council building to create a new Integrated Health Hub facility for the community. Minor extension works were also part of the scope.

Westbourne Grammar Sports & Aquatic Centre

Building Engineering were recently awarded the contract to build a new Sports & Aquatic Centre at Westbourne Grammar School in Truganina, Victoria. Beating strong competition, our team are delighted to be working with Croxon Ramsay Architects and Westbourne Grammar on this strategic and significant project.

The new Aquatic Centre will be an addition to an existing indoor sports facility which will also receive refurbishment works. The project includes an 8 lane 25m pool, wet and dry change, new entry foyer, kitchenette, sports administration offices, medical office, gym facilities, gym store, dance studio and multi-purpose space. Extensive landscaping is also included in the scope.

Early works have already commenced on site, with the project team preparing to begin major works in late April.

West Gippsland Arts Centre Commencement

Earlier this year in February, Building Engineering were honoured to be appointed by Baw Baw Shire Council as the successful builder to undertake construction works on a major upgrade project for the West Gippsland Arts Centre.

On Monday April 3rd, (Bldg.Eng) Directors and Senior Staff attended the official commencement ceremony for the project. Distinguished guests in attendance included all levels of government including the Mayor of Baw Baw Shire Councillor Joe Gauci, Federal Member for McMillan Russell Broadbent MP and Member for Eastern Victoria Harriet Shing MP.

Funding for the $13 million project has been provided by both State and Federal Governments, with additional funds from Baw Baw Shire Council's Capital Works Program.

Works will include demolition, upgrades and extensions to critical parts of the existing facility with the project expected to be completed in May 2018. Renderings by Williams Ross Architects Pty Ltd

Christ Church Grammar School Redevelopment

Building Engineering were awarded this project in late 2016.

The scope of works includes the demolition of existing buildings and pavements, bulk excavation to provide for a basement level carpark and storage area, construction of home rooms and breakout study areas over two levels, new Art Studio, music room and age appropriate science labs, tuckshop relocation works and driveway widening.

Works will also include extensive courtyard upgrades, providing a new multi-use games area (MUGA) and installation of soft landscaping.

Scheduled works are programmed to occur over four stages with minimal disruption to curriculum and learning activities a key driver for both client and the (Bldg.Eng) team.

Architects for the project are Sally Draper (in association) with Mclldowie Partners.

North Melbourne Primary School Redevelopment Stage 3 project constructed by (Bldg.Eng) has been published in the September 2013 issue 44 of Artichoke Magazine, Australia's most respected coverage of interior architecture, design, objects, people, and products.
